Customer Engagement Model
Accolade Technology largely sells to customers that take our ANIC SmartNICs and integrate them into an end-product such as a security or network monitoring appliance. Until the past year or so we only deployed our FPGA intellectual property on Accolade produced hardware. But recently we have deployed on third-party hardware; most notably the Xilinx Alveo line of adaptable accelerator cards.
No matter which hardware is used we consider the relationship with our customers to be a partnership because all engagements require close cooperation to successfully integrate an Accolade solution into the customer’s appliance or platform. In fact, we have never had a customer engagement where there was not direct engineer to engineer cooperation to implement the desired customer solution. Often, we even wind up developing some customer specific feature(s) that are typically realized based on extensive up front conversations with our technical marketing and engineering teams to nail down exactly how an ANIC adapter can help solve our customer’s problems and pain points.
