For the past few weeks, we have been discussing Accolade FPGA IP deployed on Xilinx Alveo Accelerator cards. Accolade has chosen to initially deploy on the U50 and U280 model cards because those best meet our current customer needs. However, we are often asked if we can support the other available Alveo adapters such as the U200 or U250. A complete list of all available Alveo adapters along with their specifications can be found here.

The simple answer to the question is a resounding “yes”; we can support our FPGA IP on most any Alveo card and are glad to work with individual customers to not only help them select the most appropriate Alveo card for their application but also to implement features that are unique to their requirements.

At the end of the day, the reason hardware doesn’t make that much difference to Accolade is because at our core we develop FPGA-based intellectual property (IP) and it is this IP which makes our offerings unique. Of course, that IP has to run on some hardware; so based on the end-customer request we will deploy our IP on the hardware adapter of their choosing.
