Why Accolade? (Intellectual Property)
We often get asked by customers and others: “What makes Accolade unique and why should we use your products?” Last week we discussed technology leadership and this week it is intellectual property.
Intellectual property is just a fancy way of saying our engineers innovate and provide novel new features and functions which make our customer’s products more robust and more valuable. There are some vendors that just provide “raw” adapters that have an FPGA on them. It is then left to the customer to figure out what to do with that hardware. For most end-users this is a daunting task and that is where Accolade comes in. We also provide the hardware, but along with it our FPGA designers develop and support a variety of features and functions. For example, advanced flow classification and flow shunting, which we developed and is used today by a large percentage of our customers. We also often develop customer-specific features based upon our customer’s unique requirements. Feel free to ask us how we can design something for your next CPU offload needs.
